This summer festival season, trade in your wellies for a pair of flip flops and head to the Mediterranean island of Malta. This free, open air music festival is hosted annually on the island of Malta and attracts thousands of festival goers each year with its eclectic collection of international acts and sublime Mediterranean backdrop. The growing number of fans is testament to the sun-kissed joy that the festival offers. Better yet, the music festival is free, so everyone is welcome to join in on the festivities, as long as you can make your way to Malta of course.

The music festival will be held on the 26th June 2013 at Malta’s Il-Fosos Square, where more than 50,000 revelers are expected to party to the sounds of R&B/ pop sensation Rita Ora and the group behind the catchy song of the summer ‘Waiting All Night’, Rudimental.

The Isle of MTV Malta Special is familiar with such musical royalty, having hosted the likes of Snoop Dog, Lady Gaga, Will.i.am, David Guetta and the Black Eyed Peas. It’s no small wonder why Isle of MTV Malta has become one of the most important dates on the European music calendar.

MAY 16TH – Out In London

Rita Ora has apparently signed a deal worth £500,000 to model clothes for Madonna’s fashion brand Material Girl.

The ‘Shine Ya Light’ singer was reportedly put forward for the position by Madge’s daughter Lourdes.

“Lourdes has been a fan of Rita for a while and has been to many of her gigs,” revealed an inside source to The Sun. “She persuaded her mum to see her.”

The deal was also said to have been signed following a meeting at the MET Gala ball in New York this month.

“Madonna admired Rita’s attitude so signed the idea off,” added the insider. “Rita jumped at the chance because she’s such a fan of the Queen of pop.”

The source also added: “She also hopes it will help her crack the States in the same way she has the UK.”

Meanwhile, Rita is currently appearing on the big screen in her movie debut as part of the new film Fast And The Furious 6 and is already working on her second album.
